Great essay.

The consequences of libertarianism is increasing privation, crassness, exhaustion and vindictive meanness of spirit, mind and body. Its especially perverse that its continual failures are strictly viewed as incentives to re-apply the same because previous attempts were not implemented with enough vigour - for these dolts, the dead rotting horse can yet be quirted to the finish line.

We've seen this awful katherine wheel of misery tried over and over and over in this province. One would think the electorate would get weary of the same old recycled right wing libertarian puke being served up in new bowls. The docility and naivety of Alberta voter for this flavour of the right wing is both an amazing and depressing thing.

Iain Banks take is the "chefs kiss" - "Libertarianism: A simple-minded right-wing ideology ideally suited to those unable or unwilling to see past their own sociopathic self-regard. "
